BADUSHA/பாதுஷா


INGREDIENTS

Maida - 3 cup
Dalda - 50gm
Baking soda - a pinch
Baking powder - a pinch
Sugar - 1 tsp
Curd - 1/2 cup
Oil - for frying

for sugar syrup

Sugar - 1 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Lemon juice - 1 tsp

METHOD

In a bowl add melted dalda,baking powder,baking soda
sugar and mix well. Add maida into it.

Add the curd little by little and  knead it into a soft dough.
Dont knead too much. Take a small portion of dough and roll it.

Flatten the dough and make a impression at the center.
Heat oil in a kadai at a medium flame.

Fry the badusha at a very low flame and take them out when they
turn golden brown in colour. Make sugar syrup simultaneously. 

In a pan add sugar and water and make a 1 string consistency sugar syrup.
Switch off the flame and add the lemon juice to it
to avoid crystallization.

Add the fried badushas to the sugar syrup and leave it for 20min.
After 20 min take them from the syrup and leave them to dry.

MOUTH WATERING BADHUSHAS ARE READY......
