Pirandai in english known as Cissus quadrangularis , it has many medicinal values it cures joint pains and it is used to heal brokened bones also.
In my home pirandai is growing in large quantity, it is very tasty than buying it from outside....

INGREDIENTS
Pirandai - 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves-1/4 cup
Mint-1/4 cup
Coconut-1/4 cup
Curry leaves-5-6 leaves
Urud dal/ ulutham paruppu-1 tbspn
Red chilly-3
Asafoetida powder/perungaya thool-1 pinch
Tamrind- 1 piece
Oil- 1tbspn
Salt-1 tbspn
METHOD
clean and wash the pirandai |
wash the mint,coriander and curry leaves |
fry dal n chilly in oil |
take them out when they turn golden brown |
saute pirandai,mint, coriander n curry leaves in oil |
switch of the flame when they are shrunked |
fry the coconut pieces |
add tamrind to the fried leaves |
add asafoetida powder |
add salt |
grind all of the above into coarse paste |
grind dal and red chilly seperately |
grind them into fine powder |
mix all together and grind with one pulse |
pirandai thuvayal is ready |
