CHICKEN BIRYANI




INGREDIENTS

Rice ( Seeraga Samba Rice) - 2 cup
Water - 4 cup
Chicken - 1/4 kg
Bay leaf - 2
Cinnamon/ pattai - 2 stick
Cardamom / Yelakkai - 3
Fennel seeds/ Sombu - 1 tsp
Onion - 3
Tomato - 1
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Green chilli - 2
Curd - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves & Mint - 1/4 cup
Chilli powder - 2 tbspn
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 3 tsp
Oil - 4 tsp

METHOD

Heat the oil and add bay leaf,cinnamon,cardamom,fennel seeds.
Then add onion and fry them well till they are transparent.
Now add ginger garlic paste and fry them well till the raw smell goes,

Add tomatoes,green chilli,coriander leaves,mint and fry them till tomato get mashy.

Add chicken,curd and chilli powder.

Add garam masala ,salt and mix well.
Soak the rice for 15min.

Add the rice and mix well with the gravy, after the rice mixed well with the
gravy add the water.

Keep the flame high till it starts boiling,
After you see the bubbles close the lid and cook it in the low flame.

After 10min add coriander leaves and mix well.
Now keep the dosa tawa and heat it.
Keep the pot on the hot tawa at low flame for 5min and switch off the flame.

YUMMY........ CHICKEN BIRYANI READY...
